"Rugged, beautiful, well build boots. The stiff spine takes some getting used to. Felt awkward walking at first, but they've grown on me. I continue to evolve. The toe angle takes pressure off of the calf and reduces fatigue."

"I have been wearing the non insulated mountain extreme for over 5 years and just bought another pair. Not because I wore the other pair out but because it was on sale. I wear the non insulated in snowy conditions down to 20 degree F with wool socks and never get cold. These boots have never leaked water even in shallow stream crossings. I would give them a 5 star rating but I don't like the standard insoles that come with them, not enough cushion and the arch support is too stiff."
