We had an incredible hunt for Central Barren Ground Caribou in northern Manitoba near the border of Nunavut. We booked the hunt through Hosted Hunts and were hunting at the Munroe Lake Lodge. The staff at Munroe were very attentive and took care of us like family. Our guide was Joel Frost and he definitely speaks “caribou” getting us within archery range numerous times during our hunt. We saw many hundreds of caribou with mature bulls every day. On a rifle hunt, choosing which bull is the one you want would be the most difficult part of the hunt. I ended up taking two nice bulls with my bow, and my hunting partner Brad Remfrey harvested one bull with a rifle and the other one with his bow. All in all an epic adventure under the northern lights that I would definitely recommend for any of our customers.
