Good boots
"Very good boots, but not up to military service standards, at least not Army. First off the color is not coyote, as advertised. It is straight up tan, like the old 499 tan boots. Second, the heel and the toe both don't work with Army uniform guidelines. I had to use mink oil to darken mine up and install actual coyote laces, but even then I got very regular comments about them to the point where I don't where them in uniform anymore. With all of that being said, these are the best boots I've ever worn. Super well made, super supportive, they do great out in the desert and the mountains. My only complaint is that they are kind of advertised as a coyote service boot, and after a serious expense, they are not suitable for my branch of service. But I'm certain I'll get many good years of hunting, hiking, adventure from them."
